EasyMovie allows you to use single sign-on (SSO) to restrict access to your videos and ensure that only permitted SFDC viewers are able to watch them.
Here's how it works:
-
Using your SFDC instance as an identity provider (IdP), create a new connected app to manage user access to your video embedded player
-
Send to the EasyMovie support team all data required to make us set up the restricted access for your player. We will restrict the playback of your video(s) to the embedded player. This means that viewers must first sign in to your SFDC instance before they are allowed to watch any embedded video.
Create a new connected app
-
Go to Setup > Identity > Identity Provider
-
Click on the button “Enable Identity Provider” if it’s not already activated.
-
Select then an existing certificate or create a new one. And click on “Save”.
-
Go then to Setup > Apps > App Manager.
-
Click on “New Connected App”:
-
On the Web App Settings, click on Enable SAML et set the basic info:

ACS URL: https://auth.easy.movie/callback
-
Subject Type: Username
-
Name ID Format:
urn:oasis:names:tc:SAML:1.1:nameid-format:emailAddress
-
-
-
If needed you can check “Verify Request Signatures” and “Encrypt SAML Response“, but you’ll need to provide us with your certificate.
-
After a few minutes, return to your newly created Connected App through the setup menu and find the “Profiles section” :
-
Click on manage profiles, and select here the profiles that will be allowed to use the new Connected App
