How do automatic subtitles work from the app?

What is the automatic subtitles feature? 

EasyMovie helps clients increase video production through both autonomy and speed.

The automatic subtitles feature helps users in this regard by allowing them to receive, edit and integrate subtitles to their videos automatically, in any language, and in just a few minutes.

From the EasyMovie app, users can request automatic subtitles on their video. They receive the generated subtitles and can edit and validate them directly from the app.

Who can use the automatic subtitles feature?

In order to use this feature, your customer and user accounts must have the “order automatic subtitles” permission activated.

If you do not have this feature activated and wish to activate it, please contact your customer success manager or account manager.   

When can you use the automatic subtitles feature?

Automatic subtitles are accessible through the EasyMovie app and through the EasyMovie platform

The feature can be used on both auto and studio projects.

On the app, you may request automatic subtitles once your project is complete and has been exported. 

How can I use automatic subtitles?

Here is a step-by-step guide:

1. Export your project and request subtitles

Once your video is complete and exported, click 'Create subtitles': 

In the subtitles request screen, fill in two pieces of information: language spoken in the video ('Source'), and the subtitles language ('Destination'). Click 'Next' to validate your request. 

2. Receive and edit your subtitled version

A few seconds after validating your request, your subtitles are available for edits. 

To edit a subtitle, click the pencil icon on its right, then click the subtitles content. You can also edit the subtitle timecode by clicking the clock icon on its right: 

3. Receive your subtitled version in HD

Once you're happy with the subtitles, click 'Ok' to generate your subtitled version in HD. A few seconds later, your subtitled version is available for download in HD.

If you've already validated and downloaded your subtitled version, you can re-edit your subtitles by clicking 'Edit subtitles' as many times as you wish to. 

Additional information

There is no limit to the number of subtitled versions you can request. From the original project, you can request as many subtitled versions as you wish to (French subtitles, Spanish subtitles, German subtitles, etc.).

Each subtitled version will appear separately in your projects list!
